Enter the “Create and Refine” Method

“the strategy is definitely: first make it work, then make it right, and, finally, make it fast” -- Stephen C. Johnson and Brian W. Kernighan

Build, sell, listen, refine, and repeat.

We’ve had hundreds of users. Many came and went, and that was expected. It was an early MVP and beta version with lots of bugs. But even with all the imperfections, we strongly feel the core idea has been validated.

At first, we never planned to build a web builder. We focused only on ecommerce. Then we noticed something familiar that still hadn’t been solved properly.

An Ecommerce Solution for Services

We interviewed many service businesses. They kept saying the same thing: “Add-to-cart” doesn’t really fit their offers. Their services are intangible and don’t need inventory. What they actually wanted was a simple way to showcase their services and turn those quotations into invoices.

I also used to run a web design and app development agency. That experience taught me firsthand how painful it is to constantly send quotations and launch websites for my clients.

So We Built It

In the first beta, we launched with a fixed-layout page similar to Instagram. Businesses listed their services. Customers filled out a quotation form, and it auto-generated invoices. Back then, we just had simple modules or “small blocs”, such as webpages, blogs, products, services, and payments.

Now on Our Third Major Iteration

A full rebranding and evolution based on everything we’ve learned. We are launching a series of products for clarity: Livepages, Sellport, and Cashpath.

Thanks to user feedback, LivePages has become a powerful yet simple no-code website builder. We moved away from fixed layouts to a guided grid and bento style. It's a simpler alternative to Shopify and Webflow, without the complexity of WordPress. Our main solution is for users who are tired of maintenance, security issues, and slow performance. It’s a smaller market, but it provides steady cash flow as we build toward the bigger vision.

The scaling will come from Sellport and Cashpath, which complete the ecosystem making it easy to sell services and handle professional invoicing and payments. Because every business needs to get paid. In the end, we’re still solving our original idea, where making ecommerce work properly for service businesses with beautiful landing pages, quotations, and payments, all in one place.

The Building in Public Journey

We’ve also received mixed feedback and criticisms, including a few harsh ones. Don’t get me wrong, we need real feedback. It helps us improve.

At the end of the day, not everyone will understand or support your path and that’s okay. This is part of building in public while selling at the same time. If you truly believe in what you’re solving, you have to stand your ground and keep moving.

We are still early. But we are moving forward with much more clarity now.
